people with disabilities. Among its primary goals was the establishment
and continuation of an assistive device technology conference to be
held on the East Coast of the United States, initially in 1999 and
thereafter on an annual basis.

RESNA
is an interdisciplinary association of people with a common interest in
technology and disability. Their purpose is to improve the potential of
people with disabilities to achieve their goals through the use of

education, advocacy, and the provision of technology and by supporting
the people engaged in these activities.
